Testimonials

KIMG0461“I sent Chris a most difficult  but meaningful project   … I wanted a gun to remember my hunting buddy of 15 years, a black lab named “Mattie” So started the “Mattie Gun” It started as a O grade twist barreled hammer gun, a Parker of course. I wanted this made into a gun sort of like a AA Hammer gun, Chris helped me pick the presentation grade walnut for the stock, I sent him a set of Vulcan hammerless barrels which he later added the third hook so it would mate with the action correctly, the action was sent to  Brian Frank  for engraving and gold work. Chris did a fantastic job on the stock, the checkering was I believe 28LPI, the round pistol grip could have not been done any better, later as the gun was nearing completion it was sent to his friend Oskar Kob for case hardening, the gun was returned to Chris for final assembly. No one else would have tackled this job and as you can see it is a work of art! Chris is a true craftsman and will make your project his own, thanks Chris for putting up with me for 2 years and I could not be more pleased with the finished project,I would highly recommend Chris Dawe for restoration work on your guns.
